Power system static and dynamic models are used to evaluate system stability margins, operation constraints, and the impact of new grid components. Therefore, it is of great importance to ensure the model is accurate and up to date, and is able to reflect the true behaviors of the system. This thrust is aimed at improving the credibility of dynamic models by validating the models against the synchrophasor measurements collected by FNET/GridEye. By comparing simulation results with actual events, we are able to identify the most critical and sensitive parameters. By adjusting those parameters, the overall accuracy of the models are enhanced.
